The weekly challenge - week 4

I missed last weeks challenge... but I've just managed this weeks so that's a few more points for the ravers...

The criteria we had to follow was a number in the title, hidden journalling and use a punch... The pics I used were of Tessa & two of her friends from school and I took these pics the night of the school leavers disco when they came back here for a sleepover... great laughs these 3 are and it was just a shame that the 4th girl in there group had to go away for the weekend with her parents....

Thanks for stopping by, hope the rest of your weekend is a good one.

Ps. some of you might like to look at the other half's blog and see what he's been up to lately...

TILT aka Things I Like Thursday - bit late in the day I know but better late than never eh!

Anyway Mr Wonderful went to the swedish shop and came home with a white helmer unit... which I duly assembled:D

(I must admit I got the idea from the lovely Fiona and thought it was ideal:-D )

Then I filled all the drawers with my punches that the unit was bought to store! And here are the drawer from top to bottom...

Now, no doubt at some stage the drawers contents will get shuffled about but... there is still room for the petal pairs punches that I have a hankering for and the tonic studio butterfly wings punch that goes with the other punch I already have;-)

So, I'll love you and leave you for tonight and see you soon

WOYWW - 111

If I was a certain deceased cricket umpire (David Shepherd) I'd be hoping on one leg..... nevermind eh... Onward!

Anyway I'm a bit stuck today because..................... which desk do I blog? yes!! Mr Wonderful has been and bought me a second desk.... in anticipation of a certain friend coming to stay to scrap:-D

Anyway on the black desk is... my lap top, tin of ribbons, cardstock to make a friend a card, my carousel (which would be one of my desert island things;-) ), my two seagrass containers that I store letters and chipboard things in... a plate that had toast on this morning and an empty coffee mug!

On the white desk... (where would we be without Ikea?), my ottlite!! atg, tv(facing the other way) lots of card making things for teacher cards and some photos for my sketch and scrap layout that I must make a start on!!! and some gorgeous pink ribbons for a baby girl card!!

Thats it for now, i'll probably blog the cards tomorrow, now i did read everyone's blogs last week but again blogger started playing up and not letting me leave comments even tho i tried and tried so i apologise and hope you all have a great rest of the week and a lovely weekend too...

DH and myself will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary on Friday.... we may celebrate with a bargain bucket!! its too expensive taking 3 kids out for a meal when two of them are so fussy and prob won't eat much...

Anyway that's it for now

See you soon,
Lisa

What do you do with a pair of holey old jeans?

That haven't been worn for over a year? You turn them into a funky handbag!! using the legs as a strap and sew the gusset area straight and the straight across the bottom, get some old gash fabric and line it then make a fastener using the jeans button and a tab across to hold the bag shut!!
Now, I can't lay claim to having made this idea up, I saw it in a new craft mag a few months back and can i remember the name of it.... nope, Fi will tho;-) we discussed the bag at the time and i recall we agreed it was one of the only good things about the mag that made it worthwhile getting...

So thanks for dropping by and looking at Tessa's new bag (and funky old jeans!)

ooh and below is a layout I did for the weekly challenge, the pic of me was taken when I was 21.... can you see the innocence?... no? Well get your specs on then! ;-)

Thanks again and have a great Sunday

WOYWW 110 - Coggsy

At the minute this is what my desk actually looks like! We decided we wanted to watch Shirley Valentine again but the only original version is on video! the dvd version has all the language 'tidied up!' So the tv/video combi was brought back into our room and we watched it twice and in between the watchings we also watched one of my favourite films The Quiet Man, the kids want the machine back so they can watch the cat in the hat!!!
Later on today, everything will be sorted and I can scrap again! Yesterday my kit from Gottacraft arrived and its lovely too, so I can get stuck in to that and the kit I got last month from Sarah's Card's, it won't be long before the next kit arrives too!!!

Now then, Our oldest son had to make a robot for a project at school! So using some of my stash and tools and two rolls of tin foil, we have a new addition! Coggsy! she, for she is female, is currently residing at school but in a week or two, soon once school ends, then she'll come back home and I can reclaim some bit of stash (maybe)!

The first picture is of her head with hat, the second pic is of the main torso!! as you can see thisis where her name came from! the third pic is of the key fob and key pocket, the fourth pic is of the back of her body which has a panel of mirri card that was embossed in the clockwork embossing folder and a keyhole placed on it and the last pic is of the whole thing assembled before she was put in a bin bag and taken to school!

Thanks for visiting, hopefully I'll be in scrap mode next time with some layouts to show too!
