Crike.... it's been so long hasn't it!

I've not done much paper crafting lately and the quilting/cross-stitch is on hiatus... and me being me, I love to learn new techniques and crafts... Last year I did some workshops with Karen the Clock Lady and whilst I was there I met a group of lovely ladies who I've since kept up with via facebook.

One of these lovely lasses is called Jane and she held my hand step by step thru to the beginning of Polymer Clay classes - she even came to our home and taught me, Mr W and our daughter how to play with and bake it too.  In our conversations, the subject came up about a lady who demoed Polymer Clay on one of the sky channels... Debbie was watched day and night (with the purchase of some dvd's) well one thing let to another and I bought a few pieces here and there and then some wire fell in to my basket... One day, whilst watching Jewellery Maker channel, I saw a lady demonstrating how to do "wire work" well I was enthralled and had to know more about this too... Some more dvd's arrived along some stones... cabochons they called them! Ooh yes, this is the stuff I thought... then I saw a fella called Mark doing something interesting with cords.... What's that called says I... Kumihimo? Well yes, you guessed it, some of those dvd's arrived (along with some zari thread!) A few pieces of equipment arrived a week or two later (and some more wire 'cause the last lot ran out!)

Anyway I'm making some nice pieces of jewellery and am loving touching the stones I've bought - coloured onyx, fusion jasper, denim quartz are just some of the lovely touchy stones I've been making....

What do you think?

Ta-ta for now
