Morning all

Well, it's been nearly a week since I posted! just an update to say that the new meds are doing great and I am getting excited cos my great friend Heather is coming to stay with us for a long weekend in a few weeks... I haven't seen her since February and although I chat to her a lot on the phone, its never the same as seeing someone face to face is it! and over on UKS there is a cyber crop on the same weekend, so we may have a go at that too! I have ordered the mystery kit and also the little houses that are needed for another class, in fact I have ordered 3 sets, lol, one for each of us that will be scrapping... the children are spending the weekend with the grandparents and are sure to have loads of fun too.

Thanks for dropping by

WOYWW - Just the ticket...

Hmmm, I've been a lucky girl lately and had a great birthday! 40 isn't that bad after all and yesterday I went to see the Doc at Frenchay for my long awaited appointment and she gave me some new meds for my back!!! and arranged an appointment with a physio-terrorist in December.

So my craft desk will look busy later today cos Mr Wonderful bought me a birthday pressie of...

the tim holtz ticket die and the tab file die! and I have quite a few things to be getting on with!

They had been delivered while we were at the hospital from the people at cutting edge!

So I hope you all enjoy your day and bye for now

The Day after the Night before or otherwise known as the Day of Two Birthday Cakes!!!

So I ended up with a few more presents courtesy of Lizzy, Tessa's friend (a pot begonia), Sam and Vicki bought me a willowtree tealight holder (I collect willowtree) I got some gorgeous chocolate truffles covered in french cocoa and a fab box of chocs from my parents-in-law on top of the stash they had already bought for me!!! We all sat down to an oriental style meal courtesy of the wonderful Alun.... and my brilliant sister and her lovely hubby bought me something so unique, that they had it made specially for me!!! and it is totally fabulous! I can't stop raving about it... lol

Christopher helped me blow out the candles! well.... he is only 3!

The man with no head carries the cake in and says "blow the candles out woman, this cake is heavy and the heat from all these candles has burnt my head off!!!"

Another fantastic present! Made especially for me!!!

Just a small list of my favourite things and things about me!!!

Thanks again for dropping by and have a great weekend, I shall be celebrating all weekend and scrapping yesterdays events too, after all it isn't everyday you are 40 is it!!!

Flippin' heck I'm 40!!!

And I have fantastic friends too!!!!

I got loads of cards and as todays post is yet to come there may be more lol!!! I got fab crafty pressies from my fabulous friend Heather and money from family members too!

What shocked and stunned me was the twilight addicts on uks, we have all become very close and after the recent loss of a very dear friend and member, Amanda, well something arrived yesterday that was totally unexpected! These lovely women all got together and made me a book of all things twilighty!

So thank you so much you wonderful ladies - Denise, Dee, Gemma, Carin, Karen, Alison, Jane, Judith and Amanda-Mary!

I have taken photos of each page so you can all see the fantastic pages in this truly unique book!

And here are the cards and presents that have arrived so far lol

Heather knows I have a weakness for chocolate orange so she bought me so as well as the mahoosive blocks and gorgeous MS butterfly stamps and Carin got me the twilight pencil case that had yummy mallow in it and Karen got me a pack of blooms, gems and pearls and a little dangly gem that I am going to put on my scissors when I got to crops cos we all have the same scissors and that way everyone will know which ones are mine:-D

Aluns parents gave me money which I have already spent on the TH dies and stamps you may have seen over the past few weeks and Alun gave me money towards paying for a retreat next year!

So Thanks again to everyone and now I am off to have a light lunch which will probably be cappucino and cake with my friends Vicki and Sam

Happy days

A Few Things I Have Done and Bought Lately...

First of all, a card I made for my BiL, cos I stupidly forgot his birthday and got the dates mixed up with my sister and his anniversary!

Then two sets of TH stamps I got with my early birthday money...

A layout I did for a sketch and scrap group I am in on uks.
firstly the sketch and then my interpretation of it.
Many thanks to Cherry for setting this one

The layout I did for the weekly challenge on UKS, I am in a team of fab ladies called the Rik Rak Ravers and we have set the weekly challenge this week using a sketch designed by Beggahuna from scrapbook.com
firstly here is the sketch then my interpretation of it.

Now a layout I did over the weekend from a sketch by Kirsty Wiseman, that I put up for our teamies to do, we take it in turns to set a sketch and sometimes we do it and sometimes we don't but, I am trying to scrap more and 3 over the last week is not too bad for me!

The lowercase G looks strange but on the lo it is fine, its weird how when resizing a layout, it can be distorted! but the circle is perfect and the lettering is evenly spaced but I guess that's just the way it looks once it's photographed!!

So for the coming week another of our teamies, a lady who has turned out to be one of my closest friends, well she set this sketch (from Prima) and I have already started on it. It has to have blossoms on it and a number in the title!
