We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours, but they all have to live in the same box!

WOYWW
WOYWW 98 - Wool!
I'm teaching myself to crochet after many years... I was telling a few of my teamies over on UKS that my mum tried to teach me to crochet by starting me off doing granny squares! These, however always ended up as balls!! ideal for cat toys!
So, On my work desk today is the wool that arrived this morning at 7.55 from Kirsty at Samuel Taylor 's and the bamboo crochet hooks that I bought on eBay from Knitterknacks... very soon I shall be starting a blanket in the lilac, green and cream colours.

Thanks for dropping by

Not only but also.......
I've finished (nearly) my crochet project! I decided I really like Lucy's (Attic 24) wool bag so I thought I'd have a go myself!! Its taken me 4 and a half 50g balls of Sirdar Calico (the colours I used were muslin, linen, washed gingham, lime canvas and chambrey) on a 3.50mm hook and I must admit that I did enjoy it and now Tessa has asked me to do one for her!!
Ooh and above is a layout I did yesterday of Ethan.

PS. have yet to finish the shell edging around the top of the bag but I intend to! that's why the hook and wool are still attached to the bag! (Thanks to DH for 'modelling'

Half Term already here....
Kids are off, The tall one is working from home and I've had my pre-op assessment... could be June for my op but fingers crossed for a cancellation... in the meantime crocheting is the new rock and roll....!!! I've crocheted the base and halfway up the sides of my bag and have had to stop cos my wrist is aching... This afternoon I will try to scrap and maybe do some quilting! in between listening to the tall one typing like mad on his work laptop and no.3 saying "Daddy!!" Daddy just wants to get on with his work cos it's Friday and he has to visit the office next week... On the personal front, yesterday was my aunts funeral... unfortunately I couldn't go but she will be greatly missed as she was such a sweet lady. God bless Aunt Jean. L x

Happy Mothers Day
To all Mums out there! and if like me you have lost your mum then have an extra special hug from me!! I was given a beautiful card at midnight from my 3 lovely children(via their dad cos they were all tucked up in bed!) and my wonderful man bought me a butterfly punch when he popped up to Cribbs Causeway... he dropped in to HC to see if they had any xyron refills and saw the tonic studios butterfly punch and remembered me saying I wouldn't mind having a closer look at it!! When he came back he related to me that the lady at hc said they will no longer be stocking xyron 150 refills!!! now he didn't ask if they'd be stopping doing the whole 150 gadget or just the refills... so this now makes me wonder if Xyron are stopping making them altogether or if its just happycroft stopping supplying them!! If you hear anything either way please let me know! Happy Mothering Sunday again Lisa xxxx
