WOYWW! - addy cards, cont. from 18/08/2010

On the 18th of this month, last week in fact, I featured some addy cards that I was in the process of making for my team as we have had a shake up and some new members too and apparently the original addy cards that were sent to the previous team leader went AWOL!!!

So here they are, I, of course have blanked out the personal info typed on them but the print was in a green colour very similar to the distress ink I used on the white cards too. I hope my lovely teamies like them

I've not been scrapping much, my legs keep giving out on me and I can't always stand at my scrapping desk nevermind sit down on the high stool Alun bought me to lean against and when I tried scrapping in bed.... I sliced my finger open with a MS circle cutter blade! but the good news is my penchant for shopping hasn't disappeared and today I received the Tim Holtz stamps that I ordered last week from the states (stopandscrap.com) so I am gonna have a play with them asap...

I'm still working on my addy cards but wanted to get this circle journal finished, the theme is Woman and I really wanted to be able to get it in the post to the next recipient tomorrow morning and I started wrapping it up then realised I had yet to take the pics as I always take pics of cjs that I do!

From a distance, the world looks blue and green, but today there was some red and white too....

I managed to get the camera up to the window and although the photos aren't brilliant... I really love to see the arrows! and the fourth photo down is the aerial movement where 2 planes do the heart shape trailing red smoke and a third plane flies thru making the arrow shape (also trailing red smoke!) and in the seventh pic, I managed to get all the arrows in one photo! Then the rest of the pics are the planes trailing smoke although you can hardly see any planes just the smoke!


























And these are the beautiful flowers that my lovely friend Lesley sent me!






















They are so unusual and give off a gorgeous smell and cheer me up whenever I look at them! Thank you so much Lesley!

I can never get the camera out in time!!

We've just a fly past of the red arrows apparently they are at the balloon fiesta!















This pic was taken at the Portishead Carnival on the Sunday afternoon 2005..
And tomorrow they are at Weston Super Mare! maybe the pier is re-opening???

Oh how I long for a decent nights sleep!

I had a couple of good nights in a row, sleepwise and now for the 3rd night in a row here I am wide awake and with nervey, twitchy legs and backache that makes me want to cry.... but no! I am made of good northern stock (Eastern and Western!) So I will carry on and see what happens on Sept 7th when I go to Frenchay!

Better bog off now cos darling other half is snoring gently and I don't want to disturb him anymore...


And those of you who know what I think about my postie! well he can shove his pay rise where the sun doesn't shine!

Its been an interesting week....

I finally finished the cj pages I was working on and then I managed to photograph the sketch and scrap layout I've been working on for the past few weeks and the light was decent enough this morning to take a pic of it too!


























And then the Darling, Wonderful man replaced my broken netbook with this

Tessa has gone to stay with my sister again for a long weekend and should be back sometime Monday evening or Tuesday morning! Then she is off out again for a sleepover at a friends house.... The boys, although they deny it, have missed her alot already!

Not a lot of scrapping has been going on due to the ongoing condition of the back problem but at least when I fell with the netbook, we could claim and that worked out ok in the end...

Oh and one bit of bad news is that I won't be able to make it to Scotland now!

To slice or not to slice....

I made a card for my friends daughters 2nd birthday last week and made a matching tag for the present... I was really pleased with the results


Late last week my friend Ali brought me some gorgeous sunflowers!!!





I blogged so many pics because they are such big cheerful beautiful flowers!


So, yesterday, I was trying to scrap in bed and was using my MS circle cutter! A great tool but not to be used on an uneven surface... or you might end up with one of these!!!




And this was about 8 hours later when the skin started to knit together again!!! Next time I use it, I'll make sure I'm at sat/stood at my work desk with it on a flat surface and using a self healing cutting mat!
