WOYWW - Well he can't work Miracles all the time... But he's come pretty close this time around!!!

This blog title today should be called Whats on your bed Wednesday!!!

He has rigged up the old pooter screen to the netbook so I can use the net book keyboard but look at the pc screen which fortunately is a flat one!

Also PiLs came over to help re-arrange the bedroom and craftrooms so now I have a craftroom with a bed in it and DH has an office with a wardrobe and blanket box in it.... no pics of that room for definite but here is the room as it is now and will be for the foreseeable future....
So looking from left thru to (including the fact that when i'll be able to sit properly I'll be able to look at the fantastic view of the hills that stretch into the distance towards Nailsea and Clevedon) right then right around to the the side of the desk (work area!)

Below is the cover that Cher made and I was lucky enough to win on her blog candy offer, it's covering my old turquoise and black big shot and I love it to bits!

And at the other end of the room.......

And not only that but he has been up at the Doctors first thing to request a repeat prescription for the painkillers that I am having to take to keep me from being rushed to A & E in agony with the pain.... but enough of that, I shall sit and look at the beautiful sunflowers that my friend Ali brought around for me the other night!

Thanks for dropping by today and hey, who knows I may even post later on with WOYWW!!!

ps. All this work has been done by my family for me because I have prolapsed discs in the lumbar/sacral region and can't sit down and can only stand for 10 minutes at a time before I go all wobbly so I am spending most of the time flat on my back or semi propped up and keeping my pain levels at a minimum.... Thanks to everyone again for the well wishes, cards and phonecalls that have kept me sane!!! well errr yes I know! but hey what the heck! ttfn xxx

Today started off really good but now....

I appear to have broken my netbook, so DH is downstairs trying to back up everything on there and look for the box to see if he can find the guarantee!!!
In the meantime, here are some of the cards that I've received from online friends

And above are also the punches that arrived today!!!

Thanks for dropping by today and keep your fingers crossed that Alun can sort out my lap top in some way or other...

How long has this been going on.......

As my dear friends will know, I've been waiting for a letter/referral from the hospital! Well the letter arrived on Saturday morning! what a load of gobbledegook!!! the first page said use this phone number and ignore the phone numbers on the second page....huh!! So after hmmmming and ahhhhing, I decided first thing Monday morning when I woke at 6am! that I would book the appointment online, after logging into the website and just getting to the crucial part my laptop decided 6.30am was too early and switched itself off!!! helpful? Not really, So I waited 15 minutes and tried again only to be shown a screen that said dial this number 0845......... to unlock your account as it is now locked/blocked due to incorrect logging out!!!! Argghhhh, so I duly dialled the number and was put through to a chap who unlocked my account and asked did I want to make the appointment over the phone as I was speaking to him, I said no, I wanted to look at the available appointments and be able to choose!!! Well in the end I took the first available appointment which is Sept the 7th!!!! Then at 8am, I rang my Doctors surgery and asked for an appointment to see my GP who is dealing with it all... my appointment time (10.10) rolled around and Alun dropped me off and I went in to wait, several people offered me their seats, which I said was very kind but no point as it was too painful to sit down! So I get called in to see Dr G at 10.30 and he asked me if I could sit yet and I said no, we had a quick chat about the Sept 7th appointment and he said that it was good, as it could normally take up to 4 months.....He also threw into the conversation that because I am a 'larger lady' that the consultant may decide not to operate, offer physio until I had lost enought weight or do keyhole surgery!!! He then recommended I try Orlistat! which another Doctor had offered me and when I went to discuss taking if with the nurse she admitted that she didn't want me to take it and try the portion plate instead,

Which is what I have been doing ever since!!!! He then asked me did I have any feeling in my foot and upper leg yet to which I answered no, (same as last time) so he said well I did show typical signs for my condition, gave me a prescription for calcichew again as I asked him if I should still be taking it and no more mention of the stopping of cocodamol, I am presuming this is because I said I was getting breakthru pain and it seemed pointless..... So later on Monday evening I spoke to one of my oldest friends and her daughter is doing training to become a pharmacy assistant and she (the daughter) said how did they tell you to take the drugs? so I said what I was told on the containers.... 1 of these, 1 of those and 2 of them (all three times daily) now the first two I thought had to be taken together..... and the other 2 had to be taken in the interim, No, she says try taking one of these, then an hour or so later one of those and then a couple of hours later 2 of them, them being the cocodamol, well as the Dr hasn't given me any more I am gonna try soluble cocodamol and then put in a repeat request on Thursday and ask for some more cocodamol again..... depending on how the new drug taking routine goes over the next few days!!!!

Ahhhhh, now this hurts, in the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and sat blogging there! When I went to stand up, my left foot had gone totally dead and when I went to walk the pain that shot through my ankle was just like the pain I had when I badly sprained my ankle a few years ago.... Anyway after shouting to Alun, he helped me back to bed and here I am about to take one of those!!!

Certificates, Stamps and Punches

Well Dominic came home last night and showed me what he had been given by his class teacher!

Then he showed me what he got from BEAVERS! he is no longer a beaver but has moved on to cub scouts in September and all of the troop leaders wished him well and then told Alun that Ethan could start attending BEAVERS in September now! and all the leaders told him they were looking forward to him starting and he had a lot to live up to if he was like his big brother!!! LOL, they don't know what they are in for!!! talk about chalk and cheese!!!

This morning I had some goodies arrive from cuttingedgecrafts.com
Top left is Stormy Sky, top right is Fired Brick, bottom left is Weathered Wood and bottom right is Peeled Paint. I can hardly wait to use this new batch of distress inks....

Then another parcel that came was the punch that should have come from CB but another one was sent in its place! So that has been returned and I opened it couldn't resist having a play with it!

Aren't the results just fantastic!!!

Then I had a chat with my friend Lesley as there was something I had to share with her and after that I phoned Heather once she had text'd me to say she was back from shopping and we proceeded to have a lovely long chat and shared the joke with her too! I have also ordered some lovely Bo Bunny Peacock Lane papers too from Craft Island! Then Alun went and collected the kids from school and now they are home for six fabulous weeks! This statement may change by the end of those six weeks tho! And then my lovely friend Ali P grabbed Alun and sent this home with him! A Chocolate Brioche!!! and I have to tell you that when I took the photo it was still very warm!!! I am blessed with such lovely friends.....

Today, It was a Monday morning and I used to work at a hotel in a town that shall remain nameless.... The doorbell rang and I answered it and there stood this gorgeous specimen of man 6'4" black hair and grey eyes and a smile that made me go gooey inside!!!! He checked in saying he would be staying for two weeks but would be going home at the weekend!

Shortly after, my mum rang to chat about something and I don't know why but I blurted out "I've just met the man I'm going to marry!" my mum said "Have you, what's his name?" "I can't remember" but I told her his last name and she said "Hmmmm, unusual!"

Two years later, On a Wednesday morning, A car collected us from a house in the same village where we live now and took us to The Royal Hotel, Weston-Super-Mare and less than an hour later we were Mr and Mrs R.....

The picture on the left is the room we were married in and the picture on the right is the front of the hotel.

Time sure flies when you are having fun!!!

Alun, I love you more everyday and still can't believe that I'm as lucky as I am to be known as your wife!

All my love

Finally...........Some news and at times likes these its time to recognise the folks that keep you going!

After having intermittent back pain since February and being sent for an emergency MRI scan on June 29th to Weston General Hospital and being sent home without having had a scan and with pain killers and being told I have a severe case of sciatica! I contacted my GP again for a repeat prescription and he was not at all happy that the MRI wasn't done so he contacted another hospital and I went there on Sunday the 11th and yesterday evening (19th July) I rang the surgery to be finally told that the results were in and I had a telephone appointment the next morning with Dr G. who informed me that the MRI showed that I have a prolapsed disc. My GP said that looking back thru my past history and visits to other doctors in the same surgery and being brushed off and told that I wouldn't have these problems if it wasn't for my weight, that this has been going on since at least Feb, he has said he will request an urgent referral and then I will be having to have an op to remove the rogue disc and then fuse the 2 vertebrae together... So at least I will be getting sorted! I am really disappointed with one doctor at the surgery who examed me so twice and said there was nothing wrong and she couldn't see the reason for my lack of feeling in my left foot and constant back pain! I am just thankful that it was picked up before the cauda equina lesion condition that was first suspected actually developed! and I want to say a huge thanks to all my dear friends online and local to me who have phoned me up, emailed me, called in to see me, one mum even stopped my husband in the school playground and gave him 8 fresh bread rolls that she had just baked!!! Ali P, They were delicious!! So thank you to all my teamies from uks (Heatherblossom, Cherry Pie, Debbie R 61, Whisker biscuit aka Dee, Nona aka Fi, GeordieJules, Julieann and Quinnan aka Chrissie,) Alibri and the all ladies on the sketch and scrap social group, The two Amanda's, Carin, Denise, Gemma, Jane, Jess, Judith, Karen, Lee, Linda, Lou and all the wonderful twilight addicts social group that I may not have mentioned, not forgetting The Crafty Foxes too, to all the ladies who chat on the Red Ribbon House Thread, Gottacraft aka Sandra, Winnie in Oz, Wonky Jo, Ally-Cat, Angelfish-Fiona, SarahsCards kit and Gottacraft kit threads... You are all wonderful ladies who have kept me going and boosted me up when I've been flat on my back!!! and of course my FaceBook Friends too but the few and fabulous who need to be thanked and I will be forever in your debt! Heather in Holystone, Vicki, Sam, Ali P and Nicola R in Portishead, Marie in Sunderland, Lesley H in Durham, Sarah C in Cambridge and Linda B-S-D in Swindon lol and of course my biggest but littlest, bestest sister in all the world Amanda and her fabulous Husband Colin, The best parents-in-law in the world, John and Irene and the man who brought me love, life and 3 gorgeous children, Alun.... You are the centre of my world and I love you with all my heart xxxxx and lastly to two ladies I will probably never even meet but has kept me going... Stephenie Meyer for bringing into my life Edward, Bella and Jake (not forgetting the delicious Rob Pattinson) and Charlaine Harris for Sookie, Bill and Eric (again Thank you for Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard)

One last final message to my brother Kevin - "Hey, How You Doin? ;-D "

Thanks for looking

Phew! Three Posts In One Day!!!!

Well it's finally here and in place and almost everything is how I would like it to be. So now all I need is a chair high enough to sit at it and when my back is better then I can move my wardrobe downstairs and the expedit units upstairs and white wall storage units on the opposite wall and I will all be sorted...

It will be so good to sit on a summers day or even an autumn day for that matter and scrap and look out of the window and see life going on in the streets below and come autumn when all the leaves have dropped from the trees, If I sit on the left hand side of the desk I'll be able to see the kids school!!! and hear them all playing and running around in the playground!

Bye for now
