A Happy Sunday To Everyone!

My darling Ethan came home this week with an acheivement award. It seems he'd had a fantastic day visiting the SS Great Britain....

Then I received a few more cards in the post and thought I'd blog them too:-D
The first card was from my dear friend, Lee and I also included a photo of the inside too!

The next card that came that day came from my lovely friend Jess was a gorjuss girl card and she also sent me a mini easel to display the card on too!!!

Then when we were sorting out stuff to make way for the new unit in our bedroom, I came across this that Dominic had made for me at playgroup in June 2006!

Then, this morning, as Alun had left really early to get the unit for our bedroom, I climbed back into bed and this is what I discovered!!! Hmmmm, not sure if the wary look in her eyes is at being caught out or cos she having her photo taken without having her hair or teeth brushed yet!!!

So this is what the far end of our bedroom currently looks like!!!!

So hopefully, I will be able to blog again much later today and have the new unit in place and you will be able to see what it will look like and then maybe The Boss will decide about the wardrobe and Ikea units later when he sees how things go in place!!!

And finally, last Sunday, my nephew Steven would have been 24 years old, sadly he died in 2008 just before his 22nd birthday, his sister, my niece, also named Lisa, posted this message on her facebook page!

From day one,
without knowing it,
I loved you with all my heart.
As I grew older I looked up to you and to no other.
Yes, we fought many of times but you supported,
...and encouraged me in everything I did.
You were my best friend and my hero.
At night I miss the sound of your music,
I miss you climbing through the window when you were late.
I miss your comfort and the way you made me feel safe.
I miss our nonsense arguments and all our wrestling matches just to pass time.
I like to remember our times together good times and the bad.
I regret the times I yelled at you when you were only trying to help,
but you know I only did it because you did it to me.
I wanted to do everything you did, because I wanted to JUST like you!
I miss your smile, and I miss the way our room smelt of your cologne.
But most of all I miss your reassuring hugs and playful kisses.
I wish I could go back and tell you how I felt,
tell you that I really need you no matter what I said.
I kept your favorite sweater and wear it every time I miss you
like I did when I was little.
I will always love you no matter how long its been,
since the day your life came to an end.
I miss my big brother.

Although I don't have many photos of Steven, I do have this one of him and his dad my brother Kevin, when Steven was about 8 years old...

Thanks for popping by

Wow, so much in the one post! Well done to Ethan for the achievement award! The poem from Dominic and about your nephew both made me cry! So moving. Love the cards too.

So touching. Somehow it is much sadder when a young person dies - so much potential left unused.

Still, onto happier news - that side unit is so fab - not too intrusive in terms of space, yet you should be able to manage to scrap! Hope you can get downstairs soon though ... x
