more melting...

Yesterday I did some more melting and made some red flowers this time and added gems to the centres! I plan on using them when I decorate the picture frame that Heather sent me for christmas amongst the other goodies that I got off her!

Over the last few days...

I've managed to kick start my scrapping and done 2 lo's!!!

both using the May kit from Samuel Taylor and one of them included the north east/south west challenge that Heather and I try to do every week!

Also this week, the kit arrived from Gotta Craft and I think once Heather comes back from her weekend away then we'll get stuck into the next challenge using that kit too!!!

Hmmm, Now how do I go about this then? Ah yes, I'll get by with a little help from my friends!

Some of you know that i've not had the best of health recently... So after a few blood tests and a visit to get the results from the Doc, I thought it was just me being me!

Then Friday evening, I had a phonecall from the receptionist telling me that Doctor wanted to see me for a double appointment to discuss the results of my recent tests..... Well goodness knows what went thru my head over the weekend!!! suffice to say, I worried and went thru a box or two of tissues too!

Now, I have the news, it appears my thyroxine levels are up the spout again! and also my Vitamin D and Calcium levels are virtually depleted too! which is a bit of a bugger cos I try to stay out of the sun cos I have a skin condition that is aggravated when I am in the sun!!! so I came out of the Docs after half an hour, (mind you, I had waited 50 minutes to get in to see him!) with 4 prescriptions!!! FOUR!!! ointments and pills galore, I shall positively rattle for the forseeable future!

Just want to say thanks to a few wonderful people who care and waited with me, allbeit miles away!! I won't embarrass you ladies by naming you but you know who you are and I love you to bits!!! And of course Mr Wonderful himself, who sat up and hugged and cuddled me and wiped away my tears too, Love you, Slim!

Not much has happened over the last few days unfortunately...

Apart from feeling pretty rough and spending too much time in bed surfing and looking at papers, 12x12 kinds! not the local rag! I dragged myself along to my local crop on Saturday and what did I do? nothing apart from make 3 flowers and have a coffee and some cake, which was very nice by the way!

I'm not gonna get all political but I will say this....

Advance warning! this post is picture heavy!!!

Whenever election time comes around I make a point of voting if only to remember those brave women who fought for us to have votes! The Pankhursts and their ilk! I would have loved to have met them!

Anyway duty duly done, we trotted off to the shops to get some sweets and then onwards to the lake grounds for half an hour of mayhem!

















Why can't I ever get a nice photo with them all looking the same way or smiling?

The Weekly Challenge!

This weeks challenge on uks was set by the scrap apples and had to have 4 things included in the lo

10 points for intertwining ribbons
10 points for green, white and pink colour palette
5 points for blossom / apple element
5 points for following sketch

I used some copies of prints of John and am pleased with but will prob use the pics again as they are so lovely
