Woo-hoo!!

It's only Thursday night and I've managed to get around everyone's blog on WOYWW via Julia's blog (The Stamping Ground) and leave a comment too!! granted the first 50 or so i boobed cos i put the wrong number down lol i put 113 instead of 112, fortunately the lady at 113 is called Lisa too so that worked out handy... and the last comment I left was at my lovely friend Fi's blog, we had a great time at the start of March on a diy retreat and we liked it so much we are going again next year!

anyway best get on and get on with some crafting

WOYWW..... 18th April 2012

There's not much going on of late sadly but i have juggled my room around and DH has just gone downstairs to make a late lunch! so from the left its my happycut then the blue folders that hold my edgeabilities dies and pink folders that holder all my spellbinder card-bumph(the stuff that comes in the packaging) then my big pink x-cut with a peace of black felt that DD used and didn't put away... then my box of distress foam applicators and cut and dry foam with some stick pins in it then finally 6 6x6 AC folders that I store the rest of my spellies in... further back from left to right... my tool carousel (with blue ATG), 2 willow holders that I store all my alphas/thickers in then a small cantilever box that I use to keep all my smaller tools/journalling pens in and the white box on top of that stores something called knit wit that I bought from qvc absolutely ages ago... never got the hang of it and DD (aged 12) has seconded it to make herself a long waistcoat... we shall see!!

Wow!!! I didn't realise it had been that long since i had posted!!

I have struggled to scrap lately so much so that the last 3 layouts I did were digi-layouts!! The only bit of playing with paper i managed was a card for my fabulous mother in law.






















I am now in a fairly new group on uks that Jess started off... as I said i've struggled to play with card and paper of late so I played with my laptop and using a serif/craft artist kit I came up with the layout below... thanks to my dad for sending me some pics to scan in of my late mum too...

last year I was in a project do a Chinese Whispers layout

We would all do a layout and then email it on to the next person in the group so every month you would get send an email and have to scraplift the layout and send it on the next person and also back to the originator of the layout...

I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

Layouts from the weekend at Meadow Barn

The first layout was from a sketch set by a lady called Alison from the Sketch and Scrap group that I was in and features pics of DD and the next two pics are of a layout that features Michael Crawford and DS1, who used to love wearing the tank top.... even without a t-shirt! which is why the title is a phrase that the character Frank Spencer used to say, I also used the Cherish patp set the Heather kindly gave me, I really like the effect it gives and Heather said she didn't like it or it didn't seem to work out for her (Can't remember which now!) I can't believe that this time last week we had arrived at Meadow Barn in Herefordshire and were about to enjoy a great weekend... so much has happened since then! The sketch and scrap group that I was in has been dis-banded and I have left the team I was in too!
Maybe I'll just scrap for myself now as I was finding it very hard to scrap the weekly challenges and had decided back in February that I would wait til the end of March to leave the team, Once the Chinese Whispers project had finished but sadly circumstances have forced me to make this decision sooner.
I wish all the best to the team I was in and hope they find a replacement for me soon.

After a brilliant weekend away with a fantastic group of Ladies and two great Guys... one of whom was, luckily for me, my wonderful husband!! and the wonderful parents in law had the children.
























































Can't wait to go back next year!!

Heading up the M5...

By noon today I shall be in the Hereford area! for the start of a great, long weekend with some of the great ladies from the twilight group, lots of chocolate and cake and lovely food and plenty of chat too...

I'm hoping that my scrap-block will have well and truly bogged off by the time I come home on Monday!
