The weekly challenge - August week 5

Here is my layout of the weekly challenge set by The Blooming Pages, you had to use the sketch below, add butterflies or blooms somewhere on the layout and it had to be about a holiday, the pics I used where of us visiting The Reef in Newquay in Sept 2001 - our first holiday with Tessa.

He Ain't Heavy

Here's a layout that I sat and worked on for most of yesterday afternoon til about midnight!!!

I did intend to use patterned papers on it but got stuck into making flowers using mothers day bouquet cricut cartridge instead! The background cardstock was originally white but I inked it to within an inch and now is red, green and frayed burlap coloured..

While the kids went to the Grandparents for the day

I scrapped this layout, I've loved these lilybee french couture papers since i first saw them being used on a layout by another scrapper and i've finally got round to using them! The pics are of Ethan on his 6th and 7th birthdays...

Something's afoot!

I did this layout about me qualifying as a reflexologist and ordering a pair of plastic feet to help with explaining to clients how different parts of the feet correspond to different parts of the body in holistic therapy.... anyway the feet duly arrived and in the process of examining them I discovered a flaw......Parat Hyroid instead of Parathyroid! So this led me to do the layout below and add the close-ups too!

Tag book for the Twins

My lovely friend Alison had the most gorgeous twin boys last month and we (the uks social group of twilight addicts) thought it would be nice for her to receive a little book and some vouchers, some of the tags are still lost in the RM postal system :-( but i'm hoping they'll turn up eventually and I can forward them on to Alison but in the meantime here are some pics of the tags and the cover that I took the time to keep away two nights in a row to cross-stitch and sew together then bind too.

With thanks to Carin, Judith, Karen and Paula, Denise, Gemma and Jess for sending tags but not to Royal Mail (cos the last 3 have yet to arrive to me!!)

I also want to include this last pic below that another friend sent to me of the card she made for Alison too!! how spooky that Heather and myself chose the same book and same design (altho altered slightly from the original) when we realised what had happened we had to laugh altho Mr Wonderful and Heathers friend who saw both pics where both a bit shocked that we had chosen the same design to sew as we live over 300 miles apart!!

Thank goodness all that fabric is used up!!

The kids didn't want outfits made out of it so its just as well!

Off to Ikea then on to pick up the visitor!

Well... I had some fabric left over!

So I made this cover for my expression to match the cartridge holder I made!

Now, I'm going to see if I've enough fabric left to make a cover for Billy the Bigshot! Wish me luck!
